Getting to Know Our Members

NJQHA member Marge Charlton from Neshanic Station lost her horse to old age a few years ago.  However, she wanted to stay in touch with horses and decided to join NJQH and volunteer.  She now helps at the All Breed Trail Rides held throughout the year…handling registration, questions and making sure all goes well.

About Us

The New Jersey Quarter Horse Association is the State Affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association, located in Amarillo, Texas.  We follow the guide lines and rules of the AQHA.

NJQHA consists of members with many different equine interests and all levels of riding ability from novice to professional. We offer shows, activities, educational programs and we welcome all disciplines.  NJQHA can help you find an American Quarter Horse, we can help you find a trainer and we can help you find a place to keep your horse.

We are in contact with State and Local Equine Organizations regarding guidelines and information whether you are a Professional Horsemen or a backyard  enthusiast.

Our Youth Association is outstanding both on a State and National Level.  Our Youth Advisors are there to help every step of the way.  If you are under18 you should be a part of NJQHYA for the experience of a lifetime.

And the best part is you don’t have to have an American Quarter Horse to be a member, you don’t even have to have a horse!  If you love being around horses, then you should be a member of the New Jersey Quarter Horse Association! So give us a call and remember:

NJQHA- WE’VE GOT HORSE POWER!
